Ian Thompson born in 1971 in Manchester, England now lives with his family in a small town in Manchester. Ian has many interests which include running and keep fit, Playing Piano and Guitar.

Ian started writing for fun about 20 years ago. Since then he has had a number of articles printed in magazines and newspapers. About 15 years ago he had an idea which involved a Dragon who lives in the sewers of the city called Drainage. This idea was wrote down with a very rough sketch of what Drainage may look like then placed in a draw, forgotten. Over the next 15 years Drainage kept re-surfacing but never developed any further.

 

In December 2014 Ian was sorting through old pieces or work when Drainage re-emerged from the bottom of the pile. Ian decided this was the time for Drainage to be born. Ian spent the next five months working day and night in between being a husband and dad and working full time to bring Drainage to life.

 

On May 5th 2015 Drainage the Dragon was born with the first ever book being delivered to Ian's home address to be proof read. This was the start but not the end of the Drainage the Dragon series of books.
